"Chasing the music. Trying to get home."

Been awhile since my last blog entry.
Hit the Big Apple: and Fordham hit back.
Snobby people
Nervousness.
It all factored into a subpar audition.
I decided to hit the Broadway musical relax train
Which was odd as seeing how meer days before:
I had enjoyed The Color Purple
and adored Jersey Boys

I hit Hairspray for some good old fluffly musical comedy.
It was a gem.
Just what I needed
"You can't stop the beat!"
"Welcome to the 60's"
and of course: Diana Degarmo as Penny, hysterical.
Ashley Parker Angel: pretty good as Link.
I needed the uplifting music and happy vibe.
I danced, hummed along and stage doored.
I felt better.

Then a meer three days after seeing it once:
And LOVING it.
I saw Jersey Boys AGAIN!
I have become obessed with the show.
Its amazing.
Its one of the best musicals I have ever seen.
The show's amazing.
The actors: amazing, my heroes.
Christian Hoff, Daniel Riechard, John Lloyd Young, J. Robert Spencer, Micheal Longoria.
Amazing men, and my new idols.
:-)

So, now its BRIGADOON
every day
made HONOR ROLL.
happy.
BRIGADOON is going well.
I'm so happy I got to block some of my stuff.
Which is pretty amazing.
Love the scene between me and Cameron as Harry.

"You'll never find peace by hating, lad.
It only shuts ye off more from the world.
And this town is only a cursed place
if ye make it so.
To the rest of us
'tis a blessed place! "
--- Andrew MacLaren {aka Me.} in Brigadoon

Thats pretty much and update on my current postion.
Rutgers next weekend.
And possibly a third trip to JERSEY BOYS & a fourth trip to HAIRSPRAY

"Each day as I grow older
The nights are getting colder.
Some day the sun will shine on me.
Money, I don't have any: I'm down to my last penny
But, darling, don't cry over me:

I'll be a big man in town (honest, honey)
I'll be a big man in town (promise, darling)
I'll be a big man in town
Just you wait and see:
You'll be proud of me.

They think that I'm a rover
But my roving days are over.
Someday your folks will welcome me.
I went away a small man
But I'll come home a tall man. "
